Kyle Ahern, Asst. Coach

Kyle Ahern (he/him) is an assistant coach for speech events. He has served as a lab leader at both the Institute for Speech and Debate and the University of Texas at Austin Institute of Forensics. In addition to his camp experience, Kyle coached the University of Texas at Austin’s AFA-NST 2025 national championship team.

Kyle’s competitive background includes a national championship at the NSDA National Tournament and two Florida Varsity State Championships in Duo Interpretation. At the collegiate level, he competed for UT Austin and was a finalist at the American Forensics Association National Speech Tournament in Prose Interpretation and Program Oral Interpretation. 

Beyond forensics, Kyle graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in journalism and a certificate in creative writing.
